Shipping and Receiving - FV / Poe Plants Department:
Production Pellet Plant Reports to:
Scheduler or S&R Supervisor Position
Summary:
Shipping & Receiving is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials and packages to and from multiple operations throughout the facilities, for maintaining orderly work environment including both inside and outside of the facilities.
In addition, this position is responsible for helping the Scheduler or Supervisor for managing the logistics of incoming or finished goods deliveries.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the following tasks:
Shipping:
Ensures that products, parts, or supplies are shipped in a safe and efficient manner.
Loads bulk trailers with resin, and van trailers with finished boxes, according to the shipping schedule.
Loads van trailers and containers with by-products on a weekly basis.
Monitors scale read-outs for inaccuracies and alert Shipping & Receiving Supervisor as needed.
Monitors performance of bulk loading system and report any discrepancies to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Receiving:
Receives and stores incoming loads.
Validates Bill of Lading quantities to purchase order.
Unloads vans, containers, and bulk trailers as required per Picking List or Bill of Lading.
Validates Bill of Lading quantities to purchase order and communicate with Shipping & Receiving Supervisor all discrepancies.
Instructing drivers on where and how to move their tractors.
Ensures that products, parts, or supplies are received in a safe and efficient manner.
Records the location of materials.
Communicates and work with QC department on non-certified loads.
Properly handles chemical and oil deliveries.
Maintains good housekeeping on the Shipping & Receiving docks, warehouse where materials are stored, including the grounds around the Shipping & Receiving area, and around and in between silos.
